Privacy Policy — FreqDroid

FreqDroid is a mobile client for self-hosted FreqTrade bots. Your privacy matters — here is exactly what the app does and does not do with your data.

Data collection

FreqDroid does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. There is no analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or third-party tracking of any kind.

Data stored on your device

All data is stored locally on your device using an on-device database (SQLDelight):

Bot connection details (URL, credentials)
Cached trade history and bot configuration
App settings (theme, navigation mode, notification preferences)

This data never leaves your device except as described under “Network communication” below.

Network communication

FreqDroid only connects to servers you configure:

FreqTrade bot APIs — to fetch trades, balances, and bot status from your self-hosted bots
ntfy servers — to receive push notifications about trade events, if you enable this feature

No data is sent to FreqDroid developers or any third party. All network traffic goes directly between your device and your own servers.

Third-party services

Google Play Billing (Android) and Apple StoreKit (iOS) are used solely for the optional supporter subscription. These services are governed by Google’s and Apple’s respective privacy policies.

FreqDroid does not integrate any other third-party SDKs, ad networks, or analytics services.

Permissions

Permission	Purpose
`INTERNET`	Connect to your FreqTrade bots and ntfy servers
`POST_NOTIFICATIONS`	Show trade entry/exit notifications
`FOREGROUND_SERVICE`	Keep the ntfy notification stream alive in the background

No permission is used for data collection or profiling.

What FreqDroid does not do

Collect device identifiers or advertising IDs
Track your location
Access your contacts, camera, or microphone
Profile your behaviour or build user segments
Display advertisements
Share or sell any data to third parties

Children’s privacy

FreqDroid is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
